Para Sport Easter Holiday Activities with our friends at Disability Sport Coach

Enjoy some fun and free activities starting 13th April till 17th April.

Our friends in the Arts Team are holding their Easter 2021 Para Music Session online (for Special Educational Needs and Disability) and will be delivered by the wonderful Havering Music School.

This session will offer musical and creative experiences in a relaxed group setting. It is designed in an inclusive way and no prior musical knowledge or equipment is required.

As the session is taking place online, expression through movement, voice and instruments, as well as other available objects for making sounds are encouraged. The session allows everyone to take part at their own pace.

Please note that a carer/parent/guardian must be present throughout.

Havering Council brings you this fun photography competition for the month of March. The concept is simple: head outdoors armed with your camera (or camera phone) and capture your local surroundings on your daily walk. Everyone is welcome to enter with entries closing on Wednesday 31st March 2021. Winners will be announced on Friday 2nd April 2021.

We are so pleased to share this wonderful news story about one of our own – Olly Flower.

Olly has competed in the Panathlon Challenge and represented Team Havering at the London Youth Games on many occasions over the years. 

Today, we are incredibly proud to announce that he is the recent recipient of the Jack Petchey Foundation 'Special Recognition' award for dedication as an athlete and for helping others achieve at Panathlon competitions.

Olly attended Redden Court School here in Havering and was due to attend the Boccia England national team trials just before the pandemic hit. He is a true talent. 

Congratulations Olly - you are a superstar! ⭐

Our partners in the Arts Development Team are holding their FREE February 2021 Half Term Para Arts Session online (Special Educational Needs and Disability session). The session will be delivered by the wonderful Havering Music School.  

This session will offer musical and creative experiences in a relaxed group setting. The session is designed in an inclusive way and no prior musical knowledge is required to take part.

Music time sessions include a variety of activities supporting musical expression, body awareness and movement, and shared play. Whilst the session is taking place online, expression through movement, voice and instruments, as well as other available objects for making sounds are encouraged. The session allows everyone to take part at their own pace. 

Note: a carer/parent/guardian must be present throughout the session.

The session is free, but registration MUST take place in advance by Tuesday 16 February.
