Free activity taster sessions for adults aged 50!

Brights is an exciting new centre operated by Age Concern Havering for the over 50s in Rainham and the surrounding areas. We are proud to announce the opening of the centre from 7th November and are running a programme of activities in partnership with Havering Adult College and Health and Sports Development Team. Havering MEND programme recruiting for 2012

MEND (Mind, Exercise, Nutrition and Do it) is a national programme designed to help children become fitter, happier and healthier. Havering MEND is currently looking for children between seven to thirteen years old for the next programme which is set to start in January 2012. The Programme consists of 20 sessions (twice a week for 2 hours per session). For more information click here.

Latin & Ballroom dance classes run by LBH Culture and Leisure start during the week commencing 26th September. The majority of these classes take place in the evenings at Coopers Coburn & Company School, HOPWA House and New Windmill Hall and cater for ALL levels from complete beginners to advanced. Come and join our launch & information night on 14th September at New Windmill Hall, 7.30-9.30pm. With Strictly Come Dancing only around the corner, it’s a great time to learn some new steps! Going For Gold Sports Day

Treat yourself and your nan, mum, sister, daughter or friend to an active Valentines present with a health , pampering and exercise day at Romford YMCA on Sunday Feb 13th. Organised by Health and Sports Development in partnership with Romford YMCA the day runs from 11am-2pm and is packed with free activities with discounted pampering sessions as a reward.

Come and try netball, mini tennis and Zumba, climbing, kickboxing and more! Plus FREE smoothies. There is something for everyone (under 16's need to be supervised).

Sports Quiz and Health and Wellbeing event

Havering Health and Sports Development team are holding a Sports Quiz on Monday 24th January 2011, 7.30pm at the Queens Theatre foyer, Billet Lane, Hornchurch. Havering Active for All Day

The third annual Havering Active for All Day is taking place at Hornchurch Sports Centre on Sunday 21st November 10am to 3pm. This celebration of sport for disabled people, their friends and families offers the opportunities to try a wide range of accessible sports, including the Olympic/Paralympic sports of archery, boccia, table tennis and trampolining, to find out what is on offer in the borough and to contribute to consultation on future activities. All ages and abilities welcome - experienced staff will be on hand to help with all activities.
